MILANO FREE-STANDING HEATER
MILANO FREE-STANDING HEATER
Designed by Antonia Astori & Nicola De Ponti’s
Milano Free-standing is a steel heating body distinguished by a unique personality and maximum versatility of use since it requires no installation.
Indeed, owing to its self-supporting nature, it can be positioned anywhere in a room, thereby becoming its undisputed star.
It is electric and fitted with a special support at the base, and it stands out for its sculptural appearance, perfect for creating very effective composition solutions, to build the ideal interior design around it.
Milano Free-standing offers an extensive range of furnishing possibilities, also outside residential environments, and it is the ideal feature to add a touch of artistic elegance to any setting.
The superior degree of innovation in the design of Milano has been confirmed by the curators of the Die Neue Sammlung - The International Design Museum Munich, who have selected it for their permanent design collection.
DESIGNERS
ANTONIA ASTORI & NICOLA DE PONTI’S
The AstoriDePontiAssociati studio is active in the areas of architecture, design, retail, interiors and exhibition design. The thirty years of experience accrued by Antonia Astori in her relations with leading Italian design companies, combined with Nicola De Ponti’s fresh approach to projects, are the linchpin of a broader, more composite professionalism that leads to renewal and openness towards the new generations.
After her studies in industrial and visual design at the Athenaeum in Lausanne, Antonia Astori immediately associated her name with Driade. Nicola De Ponti studied architecture at Milan Polytechnic University and trained in an international context. His entry in AstoriDePontiAssociati has led their activity towards new important collaborations.
Among their most significant recent products, mention must be made of the “Milano” radiator for Tubes (2006 - selection by the ADI Design Index 2008), the “Plateau” lamp for OLuce (2009 – selection by the ADI Design Index 2010) , the “Edipo” bookcase for Driade (2010) and the “Twin box” bookcase for Valsecchi 1918 (2012 - selection by the ADI Design Index 2013).
The AstoriDePontiAssociati brand designs houses, furniture and spaces that are strong and rigorous, in which shape and colour are the result of a long meditation deeply rooted in the idea of function first and foremost.
