CANON EOS C500 MARK II CAMERA
FEATURES
BREATHTAKING FULL FRAME IMAGE QUALITY
Canon’s own developed 5.9K full frame CMOS sensor delivers an immersive cinematic look combined with natural, smooth skin-tones and faithful colour reproduction with Canon colour science. The sensor also provides 15+ stop latitude with a wide colour space, perfect for High Dynamic Range productions.
PIONEERING AUTO FOCUS TECHNOLOGY
The EOS C500 MARK II features Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF Technology which offers high-speed Continuous AF and reliable Face Detection up to 120p. Users also benefit from smooth, intuitive touch focus operation with the new 4.3-inch LCD monitor LM-V2, as well as an improved focus control that recreates a more natural focus pull. To further fine tune AF performance, the EOS C500 MARK II offers the ability to set the AF tracking speed and response.
HIGHLY CONFIGURABLE AND MODULAR DESIGN
Optional Extension Units offer a flexible modular design and configuration capability to cater for a variety of production requirements.
Extension Unit EU-V1 offers additional connectivity such as a Genlock interface, while Extension Unit EU-V2 adds further interfaces, including two more XLR inputs and a V-Lock battery mount for extended recording times. Extension Unit EU-V3 is designed for multi-camera live productions with Tally and Return Signal support. The optional EVF -V50 viewfinder is ideal for hand-held use and it is easily removable for gimbal applications.
HIGH QUALITY AND EFFICIENT RECORDING FORMATS
The EOS C500 Mark II features a DIGIC DV 7 image processor enabling 12-bit Cinema RAW Light recording internally up to 5.9K, with support Full Frame, 4:3, 6:5, Super 35mm and Super 16mm sensor modes for a variety of production workflow requirements. 12-bit Cinema RAW Light is also scalable thanks to new firmware introducing an extensive range of data rate options up to 2.1Gbps with Cinema RAW Light LT, ST and HQ recording modes.
Record at 4K 4:2:2 10-bit using the Canon XF-AVC format, while simultaneously recording to the dual CFexpress card slots if required, with an additional SD card slot for proxy files. Multiple recording formats offer flexibility and efficiency for a wide range of production requirements.

FUNCTIONS
ANAMORPHIC LENS SUPPORT
EOS C500 MARK II supports anamorphic lenses by electronically de-squeezing the image in the viewfinder and on connected monitors for viewing. In addition, 4:3 (4192 x 3140) and 6:5 (3768 x 3140) shooting resolutions are supported. Users can take advantage of the camera's full 5.9K resolution by using 1.3x squeeze anamorphic lenses. Popular 2x and 1.8x anamorphic lenses are also supported.
DUAL PIXEL FOCUS GUIDE
Dual Pixel CMOS AF phase-difference technology provides an innovative graphical guide that represents front/back focus deviation; the rectangle turns green when the subject is in focus, improving usability and accuracy when manual focus pulling, especially for critical focusing in 4K.
ADVANCED INTERFACE
The EOS C500 Mark II features an advanced 12G-SDI interface which has four times the bandwidth compared to 3G-SDI, simplifying 4K workflows by enabling it to output 4K 50/60p over a single cable. Similarly, the HDMI interface can also deliver 4K 50/60p over a single cable. Monitor and HDMI terminals can operate simultaneously, and the 12G-SDI output features 2K or FHD options when shooting at 4K for additional flexibility.
ACES SUPPORT
The eos c500 mark ii supports aces 1.0 of the academy color encoding system. Using canon supplied idts, images captured on the eos c500 mark ii can be imported directly into the aces compatible systems. Additionally, video output from the camera can be monitored by selecting the aces proxy.
