CANON EOS C300 MARK III CAMERA
CANON EOS C300 MARK III CAMERA
The next generation EOS C300 Mark III incorporates Canon’s newly developed 4K Super 35mm DGO sensor, with 4K 120P Slow motion, High Dynamic Range and Dual Pixel CMOS AF into the same body as the EOS C500 Mark II
FEATURES
NEW 4K SUPER 35MM CMOS SENSOR FOR BREATH-TAKING IMAGE QUALITY
Equipped with a newly developed 4K Super 35mm DGO sensor and DIGIC DV7 image processor, the EOS C300 Mark III delivers an exceptional high-resolution image with 16+ stops of latitude. It also has an impressive low light capability, with improved low noise, of up to ISO 102,400 where the human eye cannot easily see.
MULTIPLE RECORDING FORMATS SUPPORT BROADCAST WORKFLOWS
Dual card slots enable simultaneous internal recording of 4K Cinema RAW Light files (10/12-bit) or 4K XF-AVC files (4:2:2 10-bit) onto CFexpress cards. XF-AVC supports ALL-I which delivers the best quality, and Long-GOP which enables longer recording times through higher compression. A Proxy can also be recorded onto an SD card, making editing work more efficient.
PIONEERING AUTO FOCUS TECHNOLOGY
The EOS C500 MARK II features Canon’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF Technology which offers high-speed Continuous AF and reliable Face Detection up to 120p. Users also benefit from smooth, intuitive touch focus operation with the new 4.3-inch LCD monitor LM-V2, as well as an improved focus control that recreates a more natural focus pull. To further fine tune AF performance, the EOS C500 MARK II offers the ability to set the AF tracking speed and response.
HIGH FRAME RATES UP TO 120FPS IN 4K
The EOS C300 Mark III supports continuous 4K recording at up to 120fps, in both Cinema RAW Light and XF-AVC. In 2K (crop) mode, frame rates from 12 fps up to 180 fps can also be set for greater creative freedom, while a dedicated Slow & Fast button, provides quick access to the desired Slow & Fast setting
CANON MULTI-CAMERA CONTROL APP
Simultaneously control up to 4 professional video cameras with your smartphone via Wi-Fi by taking advantage of Canon’s XC protocol built-in to numerous Cinema EOS and XF cameras. Access live view monitoring, as well as manage various camera settings including exposure, focus, zoom, record trigger, record format and much more. Compatible with the EOS C70, C300 Mark III, C500 Mark II and XF605. Available to download from the iOS App Store in December 2023.
VARIOUS MOUNT AND LENS OPTIONS
The EOS C300 Mark III provides support for optional interchangeable lens mounts for different project requirements.
EF lens mount provides perfect compatibility with a huge range of Canon EF lenses including EF Cine Primes, while the optional PL mount supports the Cooke /i system. Additionally, B4 mount adapters are also available (for EF or PL mounts) to use with B4 lenses.
HIGHLY CONFIGURABLE AND MODULAR DESIGN
Optional Extension Units offer a flexible modular design and configuration capability to cater for a variety of production requirements. Extension Unit EU-V1 offers additional connectivity such as a Genlock interface, while Extension Unit EU-V2 adds further interfaces, including two more XLR inputs and a V-Lock battery mount for extended recording times. Extension Unit EU-V3 is designed for multi-camera live productions with Tally and Return Signal support. The optional EVF -V50 viewfinder is ideal for hand-held use and it is easily removable for gimbal applications.

FUNCTIONS
DUAL PIXEL FOCUS GUIDE
Dual Pixel CMOS AF phase-difference technology provides an innovative graphical guide that represents front/back focus deviation; the rectangle turns green when the subject is in focus, improving usability and accuracy when manual focus pulling, especially for critical focusing in 4K.
ANAMORPHIC LENS SUPPORT
EOS C500 MARK II supports anamorphic lenses by electronically de-squeezing the image in the viewfinder and on connected monitors for viewing. In addition, 4:3 (4192 x 3140) and 6:5 (3768 x 3140) shooting resolutions are supported. Users can take advantage of the camera's full 5.9K resolution by using 1.3x squeeze anamorphic lenses. Popular 2x and 1.8x anamorphic lenses are also supported.
ADVANCED INTERFACE
The EOS C500 Mark II features an advanced 12G-SDI interface which has four times the bandwidth compared to 3G-SDI, simplifying 4K workflows by enabling it to output 4K 50/60p over a single cable. Similarly, the HDMI interface can also deliver 4K 50/60p over a single cable.
