Designed for on water rowers, the Dynamic RowErg better simulates the physics experienced while rowing a racing shell and the "dynamics" between the boat and athlete.
On the Dynamic erg, a user's body mass is relatively stationary while components of the machine actively move in response to the rowing motion. This is similar to the way a lightweight rowing shell moves around the rower's body. The Dynamic RowErg is recommended only for people who row on the water.

We made our first rowing machine back in 1981 as a winter training device for rowers. Since then, our machine has given rise to the sport of indoor rowing and its use has grown to include everyone from Olympians to CrossFitters to people just wanting a great workout.

ErgData is our free app for iOS and Android devices that connects to the Performance Monitor. You can choose to erg together with other members of the community on the Real Time Loop, our virtual course that is always open. You can set up workouts straight from ErgData and store them as favorites; take part in the Concept2 Workout of the Day; view additional live information during workouts; track and analyze your progress and more.
COMPACT FOOTPRINT
The Dynamic must be stored fully assembled, but with a small 76 in (193 cm) footprint when compared to a RowErg on Slides (132 in/335 cm), you’ll be able to get more Dynamics in your boathouse. As a product aimed at on water rowers, it is important to understand the function of the Dynamic erg and not choose it just for its smaller footprint.

It encourages the rower to use the same precise coordination, connection and power application required to achieve maximum speed in a racing boat. The RowErg (known previously as the Model D) is still the standard for rowers training for indoor rowing competitions, attempting world records, or submitting scores for recruiting.
